About Us, and Our Rates

Service calls to your home or small business are billed at a flat rate of just $55 per hour (plus materials if needed). Less than you might expect for similar service (competing services may range from $65-160 per with hidden fees, some charging $100 just to LOOK at it!). We're established, fully licensed, a member of
the local Better Business Bureau... No hidden fees or other nonsense, and we'll never try to sell you anything you don't need or will never use.

$55.00 per hour (Seniors 10% off)
For what we can do in your home (or place of business) in an hour or two. If what needs to or should be done takes longer than 2 hours, then we suggest The Full Meal Deal (see below).
Local Spokane area, no "travel time" (possibly in the extreme) or other hidden fees (irst hour is $55 then billed in 1/2 hour increments, most problems solved within 1 hour).
* Senior Discounts:  10% off normal hourly labor fee = $49.50 per
* Spokane metro, north to Wandermere/Mead area, south to 65th area, Airway Heights to Rambo,
 7 Mile, Green Acres/Opportunity area, east to Liberty Lake metro.

Complete and Total Restoration: Just $125.00 per machine
The Full Meal Deal. We suggest this when the machine is really screwed-up and/or may take longer than 2 hrs to clean or repair. Viral/malware threats embed themselves right into your machine just like big ugly warts, and sometimes the best (or only!) method to clean it up is performing A Complete & Total Restoration. That way we both know the machine is fresh, updated and safe!

Done properly (not just a fast crappy job!), averages 6-8 hours benchtime per machine. Our Total Restoration is still less expensive than a couple hours labor from the other guy, especially when considering hidden costs like travel plus separate fees to save data, software updates, etc... We're very thorough and do it the way we'd like (or would hope) to have it done for ourselves.

  • Free pickup and delivery.
  • All user data backed-up before any work performed (User data/profile = Desktop, Documents, Pics, Music, Mail, Favorites/Bookmarks, etc.. If you have data stored anywhere else on the drive, or if you have financial software installed - be sure to mention it..).
  • Hard drive formatted (wiped clean) with your Operating System reloaded (we may need your discs)
  • All Microsoft Windows updates and patches.
  • Your Office suite reloaded and updated (we will need your discs..) (if you don't have one we may have solutions for you).
  • Free collection of security tools for you to use.. AntiVirus apps, etc...
  • Your user data scanned for viral/malware infection before placing back on your machine.
  • System lightly tweaked-up for speed and performance..
  • Delivery includes setting up printer and ensuring your internet works, plus we spend a few minutes with you explaining any nuances with your new configuration (1-3 day turnaround, depending..).
  • We do NOT charge extra to back up the data, we do NOT charge extra to update/tweak the Operating System, we do NOT charge an additional "Housecall Fee" to "Restorations", we do NOT charge extra for travel (except maybe in extreme circumstances outside our regular service area..).
* If we just take the machine for a cleaning (normally 4-5 hrs labor/pickup/delivery inc.) = $85 - $100.00
 (depending.. often "a cleaning" doesn't work and NEEDS reloaded. Even after cleaning, things like
 Windows Update or other services may be too damaged so we end up reloading it anyway..)
* If we take the machine for a reload (normally about 6-8 hrs labor/pickup/delivery inc.) = $125.00
 (the complete reload ensures everything works - no question..)
* Hardware issues and/or upgrades are of course different matters depending on type of hardware and
 exactly what needs to be done. Pretty standard - parts & labor, whatever it takes (call for details).

The other day - a client mentioned before they called me, they'd called a national chain of "geeks" inquring about time and cost to remove a virus and/or reload their computer.. They told me the geek on the phone said it would be $280 and 14 business days(!).
Looking thru the phonebook - they called me and I was able to remove their viruses and reload their system with all MS updates and patches, AND save all their data - for $125 in 2 days!
Why does anyone call a geek when they can call PC Pal?

You notice we're real straight-forward about our pricing and what we do.. We like it like that.
Nearly 20 years computing experience and ten years serving the general public. Quick, knowledgeable, responsible and fully licensed, a member of the Spokane Business Community since 2001 and the Better Business Bureau since 2002.

If for any reason an issue can't be resolved (or possibly with a reasonable work-around), there's no charge for our time (realizing some things simply CANNOT be fixed by a housecall and MUST be resolved thru your own ISP and/or software or computer vendor..).
We also don't make unauthorized repairs or try to sell you things you don't need or will never use.
We just don't do business that way. We No Fix - You No Pay!

Testimonial

We've never posted a Testimonials Section, though we do get a number of nice letters, "thanks you"s, etc.. We'd not had a Testimonials Section for a few reasons - one - not wanting to open up our trusted clients to any form of scrutiny, relying on "good word of mouth" and our 100% A+ at the Better Business Bureau..
But, this letter came in the other day, and asked why we didn't do testimonials -
