Why buy custom? More choice of what goes in... Upgradability, standardized parts. Local service & support, built with YOU in mind, not pre-programmed, slapped together on an assembly line somewhere in southeast Asia, shoved in a box and shipped overseas to destinations unknown... We meet with you and discuss your wants and needs, what you expect from your machine now, and in the future. Example: Brand X at The Big Box SuperStore has produced about 900 different models (over the years) of their popular "Prevario Desktop" line, each one slightly different, each one having components designed specifically for that particular model. Suppose the power supply goes out, you could pay upward of $150 for a new unit designed only for that particular model, available only thru the machine's manufacturer. A power supply in a machine from us, probably around $50. And obtainable locally. Same thing for other components. Suppose the mainboard in your off-the-shelf PC fails. Its likely you won't find one locally (except aftermarket boards but then the system's proprietory restoration software will probably no longer work), and even simple things like plugs and connectors, may not work. (The common nightmare scenario: Your mainboard fails, the manufacturer doesn't carry/support it anymore. The only choice to replace it with an aftermarket board, your proprietary restoration software no longer works, forcing you to buy all new software as well!). You're tied to their overpriced replacement parts and their limited, proprietary (un)upgradability. None of the major pre-fab PCs any longer come with Restoration Disks.  CDs which included all the drivers & assorted software, specifically tweaked versions of the OS designed for that particular machine. Manufacturers now place ALL the setup files on "hidden partitions" of the user hard drive.., if the user doesn't create his own restoration disks or perhaps order them from the manufacturer before the warranty period (90 days to 1 year), should the hard drive ever fail.., the end-user may even lose the ability to re-set the system up at all!  One could possibly end up with a really expensive door-stop. PC Pal Computers come with genuine Microsoft Windows©, and YES you Do get your own genuine Windows CD, along with hard copies of other included software. Yes you get what you pay for. Local service, custom machines w/ standardized parts, recovery software, personal installation & set-up, data transfered (from the previous machine if you have one..), what more could you ask?  Even after all the "manufacturer rebates", cheaper does not always mean better (have fun playing "rebate lottery" which you may or may not get..)  While those machines are mass-produced on an assembly line somewhere in Asia, these (ours) are built and tested one at a time, for YOU!  We start with our basic machine (a great system in itself), and go up or down from there. Did you want a gamer system, we add higher-end graphics, sound card, memory... Don't need quite so much ooomph, we can go down some on the processor, etc... Our machines are efficient & highly customizable. You want a box with blinking lights and shoots fireworks out the back-end, we can probably do that too... Its up to YOU, its YOUR machine. Ever had to call tech-support to the manufacturer of your computer then get routed somewhere in beautiful downtown INDIA (or Panama or Philipines or Malaysia or Bangla-Desh or..)? "Hello, my name is Mark.., may I help you?" "HEWLETT DELLPAQ" does not come to your home, transfer your data, set it up and make sure everything works... Our machines are built specifically to order & fully tested before delivered, not mass produced, packed in a box and placed on a boat.. (we know numerous instances of machines from major brands that arrived DOA (dead on arrival), and/or with malfunctioning, failed components). We also don't load them down with useless software and "time-bomb" demos you'll never use. (crap as a technical term).  We guarentee our parts free from defect for one year from date of purchase, and where others give you booklets of legalese & small print (some with warranties low as 90 days!), we sum it up in one sentence.., "One year original parts warranty excluding problems involving software or physical abuse." Basically, don't kick it (not that you would..) and if the software gets goofed up, we can always re-install it. Replace That Tired Old Tower! Let's get you into something designed in this century. We build lots of "replacement towers". Suppose you already spent a great deal of money on a complete system a few years back. Your peripherals work fine (printer, scanner, monitor), but the tower is a little long in the tooth. We take your tired old box with your precious data, transfer (the data) and set it up onto one of our new custom designed machines.., get it back to you the next day (or the same day depending how busy we are). Deliver it, set it up, connect your printer/scanner, make sure your internet & e-mail work.., explain and help you with some of the "nuances" (the 10¢ tour) of your new system.
